Hey what's up guys...  so, a few weeks ago, infinix mobile had all the buzz and campaign on their yet to be released device then which is also said to be their flagship device, little did we know that they had a seperate surprise for us and i have to say, i was definitelycaught of guide by this unveiling surprise. Now,  i'm not talking about the new infinix NOTE 3 which is actually the said to be flagship device .... i am actually talking about the latest release from their hot series which is the "underdog" infinix HOT 4.

DESIGN
so, the first time i set my eye on the Hot 4, my impression was that it looks so similar to the hot3 ... yes, it does (coming from a previous hot 3 user ๐Ÿ˜‰) . which to my own perspective is a bad idea employed by infinix since the Hot 3 came out with a very nice built design.  though, the Hot 4 comes with its own twist in terms of the design as you would see in the pictures.
DISPLAY : spotting the same 5.5" IPS HD 720x1280 display resolution wich rounds up to 268 PPI , this might serve as a major deal breaker to many who are probably used to the 1080p or higher display on a phone, and with a screen that big (at 5.5inch) the colors tend to be less-saturated.  as a personal user though, it isn't a major deal breaker to me, since i would be getting more on screen battery life which is something i could sacrifice for the display resolution.

DIMENSION: The dimension stands at  152.6*76.2*8.8mm, which is of same dimension with its predecessor (i guess) . well, one thing i know though, is the fact that i felt heavier (at 180grams) and sturdier than the Hot 3. i also has this soft patterned plastic finish at the back which feels great in the hands and has been durb the name "unique 3D texture" by infinix.  it come in 5 variant colours which are;  black (like the one i got for myself๐Ÿ˜‰), red, green (ewww.... ugly ๐Ÿ˜€), gold and blue .
The whole phone is made of plastic with a removable back cover (not removable battery though) where you could access the sim slot and SD card port.  in all i would score the design and build quality of the phone 6/10. (could have easiky given it a 9 (probably :D) assuming the 3 capacitive key (the option,  home and back keys) lit up and if it had maybe come with a notification led )

PERFORMANCE
hardware and software
The Hot 4 comes fresh out of the box with the not so latest Android 6.0 marshmallow ( Android 7.0 Nougat is out already??? .. mehn... google has no chill in their release of OS). The infinix Hot 4 also come with the latest xos skin from infinix which is actually based on the android 6.0 ( which i really don't like, so i rocking the google stock launcher as i do on my everyday device).
It is power by a 1.3GHZ QUAD-CORE CPU, MEDIATEK CORTEX MT6580M CHIPSET with MALI-400MP GPU which i consider personally as a deal breaker since it was exactly the same chipset on the HoT 3(1GB option) , which was lagging and extremely slow with alot of bugs. but, thanks to the 2GB of RAM and the xos skin (i guess... probably the OS)  the multitasking s good and the speed performances is okay.
Talking about speed performance, that well placed FINGER-PRINT SCANNER is superfast. Honestly, it was one of the most surprising thing on the phone and most people reaction to it is very promisingly positive (kudos to infinix mobility on that). there were some occasions where i had mistakenly unlocked the phone while just trying to bring it out of my pocket.

CAMERA
The camera primary camera comes with the same 8MP sensor as the HOT 3 with a single tone LED flash. we all know by now that the Mega pixels count of a camera is all that matter on a camera,  but the sensor and the pixels size plays a major role.  infinix has boasted of a 1/3inch size sensor at 1.4micropixle which on normal paper specification should do well in low light situation and better image quality.
well, all i can say is the image production is good but not great. The front facing camera utilizes a 5MP sensor with also a single LED flash for selfies low lit situation . in all, the camera performs very well in a good light conditon....but, that can be said in a low lit situation where the camera tends to perform very poorly by producing images with excessive noise and  difficulties in focusing.  It does has a quick shutter in good lighting condition though.

 BATTERY
Now,  the battery life of the HOT 4 is a beast...  (and for those who know me, battey is a major factor i considering when going for a device). the Hot 4 comes with a huge bump up from the Hot 3's 3000mAh battery to a 4000mAh battery with last me for like atleast 6hrs on heavy usage and 2 days on moderate use (which is great)  . it comes with the quick charge Technology ....but, take note.. the phone doesn't come along with the quick charge adaptor. so, you are left with the usual 5volt 2amp charger which is a totally not cool coming from them.
Anyways, a great budget device from infinix mobile

pros:
great battery
fast finger-print scanner
cons:
not a great display
horrible chipset processor
the phone is sold at most offline and online outlet between 36,000-40000NGA
